Overview

The amount of vertically integrated water vapor contained in the air is calculated by using microwave radiometer onboard the Global Change Observation Mission – Water “SHIZUKU” (GCOM-W) etc. It is one of the important data to know the atmospheric conditions causing heavy rains in recent years. The data is also utilized for weather forecast.
